The interface was outdated, navigation existed in multiple locations, and key features were difficult to use.

A usability study was conducted with users to prioritize areas of pain. Findings included report filtering feeling overwhelming and having too many filters at once. The navigation was described as "all over the place" and "redundant".

I conducted an open card sort with 15 participants to understand how users organized information. A dendrogram analysis was performed and the result was a simplified navigation per user role.
